Day 2 - Sew It Together.

Saturday started around 9.00am at The Menzies Hotel.

Apparently some of the ladies went for a walk around Sydney Harbour at 6.30am!!!!

In the back corner, Cath and Kath from Material Obsession held their mini workshops. I signed up for the wedge ruler. It was great to see all of Kathy's quilts up close. I signed up for a sample swap. We were put into groups of 6.

This is what I received.

I had the pleasure to sit with Claire from Craft Schmaft and Marina. The lovely Bron and Wendy from QLD. And I had the pleasure to sit next to the beautiful and creative Saffron Craig.
We all received the BEST sample bag with goodies donated by Retro Mummy, Ric Rac, Posie Patchwork, Hawthorne Threads, Pink Chalk fabrics, The Remnant Warehouse, Material Obession, Kelani, Chasing Cottons, Saffron Craig, The Oz Material Girls, Claire's Craftroom, Plushka, Prints Charming... and the list is even bigger... I must take a picture of the goodies!!

Anyway, happy quilting

I'm "Back"

I starting to feel human again... but only very slowly. I have heard from the doctor who said that there is "nothing" to worry about. I see him in a couple of weeks to get the full results.
Anyway, on Thursday I receive my colour swap and my colour was "Purple".
Thank you so much Carol... I love everything and you made my day!!
She made me this cute purse by Natalie Bird and yes I LOVE angels....

Thanks again Carol and to Maree for organising it.
Last night I went to my primary/high school reunion...

Here I am with my friend Janice..... Janice makes the cutest handbags....

And these are my buddies from school. Tania, Erica and Yvette and me...

We all had a good night... but I am feeling it this morning because of my health.

Anyway, happy quilting.

Thanks

Wow thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers... I do appreciate it. I get to talk to the specialist on Monday hopefully to get the results. Having thyroid cancer 22 years ago... it does bring back heaps of emotions... but I do know that hopefully everything will be ok.

No sewing, too tired, but I still have next week to catch up....
Looking for to that...
Sandy

slowly getting there.

Well I have now been "radioactive" for 3 days now.... still feeling very sick. Emotions running high as ever... this morning my 13 year old son just burst into tears... Going to have a full body scan... hopefully everything has worked, that it has "eaten" my thyroid. I don't want to do this again.... Sorry everyone I just had to write a few words down.... Tomorrow the sun will shine and I will be feeling better.
