My clever daughter and my new furniture

Look what my clever daughter made. It is a cute cushion she had to make for school. She has been so sick these school holidays with her tonsils, so she took it easy and decided to finish this project. (Her stitching is so neat and she design it herself!!)I went shopping a couple of weeks ago and ordered a quilt rack to hang my quilts on. I just love the 3 hearts on the side.

Long weekend away - Garage sale quilt...

I always enjoy going away for a long weekend. This is the view from the backyard. We rented a house in Kiama for the weekend. It was raining the whole time, but I enjoyed sitting around the open fire place and I made sure that I brought my patchwork. I went out for a while and visited Berry, again spent too much money on patchwork fabric... Then I found a garage sale and brought this quilt, .. and what a bargin.
This is a close up of the quilt. It was made by a lady called "Judy" back in 1999. It is just beautiful..

Stitching at the Water's Edge Retreat

Wow - last weekend I had the opportunity to go to my first patchwork retreat. It was so much fun. There were four (yes four) very talented Australian patchwork designers. It was so inspirational to see their work up close. I wish I could take them all home!!!! I went with my Aunty (Margaret) and mum. Here they are with Natalie Bird from "The Birdhouse" (middle)
Here I am with Natalie Ross from "Natalie Ross In Stitches. I have been following her designs on her blog for over 8 months now, so I was so excited to finally meet her. She was always laughing and having fun.

Here I am with Anni Downs from "Hatched and Patched". She said that she had heaps of fun and was thinking of coming back next year. (I do hope she does!!)

And here I am with a very special lady - Janelle Wind from "The Janelle Wind Collection". What can I say but wow! She had the best smile and made everyone feel so special. We were instant friends. (I just wish we live closer). I have also been following her blog for 8 months and love everything she designs. She is very talented.

Well I must go and finish all of the projects from the weekend.

Anyway, Happy quilting
